Colostrum comes from cow's milk and is collected once a cow delivers her calf. Its main function is to transfer immunity from mother to offspring. Essentially, Colostrum is made up of fatty acids, proteins and carbohydrates that produce energy and growth. It also contains many biologically active substances which stimulate muscle growth and metabolism.

Importantly, Colostrum has high protein, vitamin, and mineral levels and is low in lactose (milk sugar).
